About Parksyde
Parksyde is a unique and special
place.
Officially opened in August 2001, Parksyde is
used for a wide range of activities, including
meetings, concerts and other social events, as
well as craft, hobby and low-impact sporting activities.
Other services include a low cost cafeteria, hairdresser

Established in 2000 to oversee the development
of Parksyde, the Older Persons Community Centre
Trust is responsible for the overall governance
of Parksyde, while a Project Co-ordinator and
Management Committee, made up of Trustees, the
Project Co-ordinator and representatives from
various user groups are in charge of the day-to-day
operation of the Centre.
A joint venture between the Rotorua Energy Charitable
Trust and the Rotary Club of Rotorua Lakes, this
innovative and popular Centre is non profit making
and is supported by a team of dedicated volunteers.
